Avi’s Teaching Philosophy

As a music instructor, it is my goal to see all the students learning fundamentals about music while also having fun.  I will pick out songs and pieces for them to learn based on what I think will challenge them but also something I think they might enjoy.  I also allow the students to pick out their own music to perform once they have learned the basics.  I encourage them to think outside the box and use other skillsets when learning music, like composition or learning music through a YouTube tutorial.  I also encourage collaboration by playing duets with them and introducing students to one another so they can work together on a piece.
